Partnering with Grassroots Outdoor Alliance allows vendors to connect local sport and outdoor enthusiasts to the best products and brands. We translate national messages to local markets. We connect consumers to the best local experiences, the finest products, the latest trends and the most beneficial environmental and not-for-profit initiatives.

There are many benefits and just a few costs to become a Grassroots Outdoor Alliance Vendor Partner.

Benefits of Becoming a Vendor Partner:

  • Opportunity to partner with the best specialty outdoor retailers in the industry.
  • Encouragement of retail members to purchase from the G.O.A. Program Book first, supporting our vendor partners.
  • Receive feedback about product from retailers who both sell it and use it.
  • Efficient communication with member stores through G.O.A.’s office to introduce new ideas and programs.
  • The opportunity to be considered for the Early Buying Shows, private shows held annually with guaranteed attendance and presentation times.  Vendors enjoy a captive audience where they can have their best people presenting their best products to GOA’s owners and buyers.  The show can result in orders 30 to 60 days prior to Outdoor Retailer and capturing OTB dollars from vendors first.
  • Collective marketing opportunities with events, product, print ads and web.
  • An additional part-time representative in the person of G.O.A.’s President, Roanne Miller, to help collect orders, resolve issues, such as shipping and distribution, and collect trend and sales data upon request.
  • Help from G.O.A. to maintain vendor partners’ brands within specialty retail.  G.O.A. can help test products and programs.

Costs of Becoming a Vendor Partner:

  • 1% of Member sales billed quarterly to G.O.A. office.
  • Twice annual Program book fee
  • Early Show participation (by invitation only). Lodging, meals, travel expenses and booth fees
