Grassroots Outdoor Alliance is a group of independent outdoor shops dedicated to the sustainability of the specialty outdoor channel and the quality of the outdoor enthusiast’s experience. We stand together to help facilitate a market for performance-oriented, revolutionary products, create a unified marketing presence for high quality, local outdoor specialists, and help protect and sustain the quality and access to the environment on a local, national and global level. Our members sponsor a wide range of events from slide shows, free demos of equipment and boats, national-level races, and lectures. Each of our members is 100-percent committed to supporting environmental causes in their respective regions.
Patagonia began in the late Sixties as a group of surfers and climbers who preferred being outdoors to in, who worked hard for six months forging alpinists’ gear and spent the other six months in the mountains. Patagonia stays close to its roots today, known for designing top outdoor clothing, apparel, and gear for climbing, hiking, skiing, surf, trail running, paddling, travel, fishing…you name it.
All of our members are proud supporters and retailers of Patagonia. From surf & lifestyle focus to base layers our retailers are among the most established Patagonia dealers in the industry.
