ABOUT KEEN
KEEN Footwear was founded in 2003 by Rory Fuerst and Martin Keen. Keen is an active outdoor company made of people who care for the world, and play outside. The first KEEN shoes were intended for sailing and other outdoor and water activities. Their signature feature is a thick black bumper meant to protect and cover up the toes. KEEN now offers shoes for many outdoor activities as well as dressier shoes for casual wear. Keen has grown quickly since its inception, and with that growth there have been many changes including the addition of a variety of footwear styles to their previous assortment, growing their casual business quickly and adding cold weather footwear as well. KEEN Footwear is based in greater Portland, Oregon.
